Chris has been a professional musician for the past 20 years and has specialized in Film Music and Sound Design since 1999 when he completed the Digital/ Analog Recording Arts Program at Columbia Academy.
Chris has composed music for 15 films and is in the process of scoring a feature length documentary entitled, ” Burqa “. His scores and sound design have been to numerous film festivals in North America and Europe and he has also worked on 23 plays. Chris has worked on 3 feature films as a sound designer/ editor and mixer and has created two radio-plays for the CBC.
His background in the arts includes composing for film, theatre and other media, feature film sound design/mixing and editing, sound supervision and audio consulting. Chris has composed and performed in four musical groups in Toronto and Vancouver and has also worked as a professional scriptwriter on the television show Mustard Pancakes. Chris has also worked as a “ Sound for Film “ instructor, director, camera assistant, and actor in the film world and completed his first independent documentary, ” Synchronicity” in December of 2010. At the same festival in 2011, Chris was commissioned to create 3 video art installations.
Chris has scored and produced ten guided meditation CD packages for Dr. Jonni O’Connor and has recently released his own meditation cd entitled ” Soundala Vol.1 “. He released a massive visualization project with over 9 hours of material which was released June 2011 www.selfinpeace.com. Chris has also expanded into themed attraction audio and has an installation in Hedley, BC www.mascotmine.com.
